Our team of experienced ecologists and designers specialise in revitalising degraded habitats, transforming rivers, wetlands and ponds into thriving ecosystems.
More recently, Rivers Ecology has begun to deliver a range of geospatial services to enhance and extend its existing offering to those working in the environment sector.
Importantly, all our profits directly support the Trust's mission to restore, protect, and enhance Norfolk’s water environments for the benefit of all.

"We appointed Rivers Ecology to undertake detailed designs and modelling for a river restoration and online wetland creation scheme on a SSSI/SAC designated chalk stream aimed to restore natural processes whilst also capturing phosphorus. The Rivers Ecology team had the unique experience of working on nutrient capturing chalk stream wetlands in the past and were able to use their expertise to design an effective scheme in line with the requirements of the designated status of the river. There was a lot of discussion on the project design with stakeholders and Lily and Jonathan’s expertise were invaluable to help inform and adapt the designs as the project developed. We are delighted with the final design and are looking to secure funding to deliver this pioneering, online, chalk stream, nutrient offsetting wetland."

"Rivers Ecology were engaged to design, project-manage and implement 600m of rare chalk stream creation, no less than 14 ponds and two wetland scrapes, 1.3 Ha of wet woodland and 2.5 Ha of wet meadow, along with a significant pond restoration project. Glenn Anderson, project lead on WBEP was quoted as saying “we are delighted with the work that Rivers Ecology have completed on this pioneering project. The whole process was seamless, from planning and permitting to delivery. We had very tight deadlines and a strict budget and the work was completed on time and to budget, we are delighted with the end result.”
