Wholescape in Norfolk: Source to sea

Summary:

A bold partnership to find sustainable solutions that connect across nature, climate and people, in collaboration with local communities, partner organisations and businesses.

Project description:

Wholescape is a pioneering WWF initiative that is being piloted across England, Scotland and Wales to address the Triple Challenge: reverse nature loss, mitigate climate change and enhance human well-being. It embraces the interconnectedness of natural and human systems, seeking solutions that benefit the climate, nature and people alike.

As a delivery partner for the first pilot 'Wholescape' in Norfolk, we are collaborating with local communities, land managers, government bodies, businesses and other organisations to turn this vision into reality.

Across the Hun, Burn, Weybourne Beck, Stiffkey, Glaven and Mun river catchments, we are:

  • Restoring river and floodplain connectivity.
  • Creating and revitalising habitats.
  • Developing sustainable farm plans to drive opportunities.
  • Reintroducing key species.
  • Reconnecting people with their landscapes through improved access, citizen science, volunteering and organised visits.
